Welcome!

I’m a first year PhD student in Linguistics at the University of Maryland, advised by Profs. Naomi Feldman and Bill Idsardi. My research is supported by the NSF GRFP.

I study how listeners perceive non-native speech sounds. Namely, I aim to use machine learning and computational modeling to investigate human and machine speech perception alike, with the goals of predicting human perceptual patterns and better understanding where computational methods align with, or diverge from, human perception.
